these are some pretty nice drawn designs using 3 colors, dont just assume that its from a catalog because it looks real
good concept, poor excecution?
I kind of agree with sunshine, it just looks like... clipart. I'm not saying you're stealing, I'm just saying that's the feeling this gives off. |
I suggest a character representing each generation. One listening to an ipod, etc... that might be more cleaned up. Good concept.

I really like it and don't mind that the cassette is in with the other older things. I mean you have a lightbulb on the "new" side and it's really not new, but it makes sense
The light bulb and sunglasses and cassette tape are out of place. I like using black and white for the old stuff.

tape decks are soo early 1900s." LAWLS! Good concept; I like the colors a lot as well. Little more work in the items themselves. |
Great concept and graphics. The position/layout could be improved along with the choice of colors. I think these graphics need some metallic ink.

there are no seams on the sides of the shirt, and threadless has also printed side-placement designs before: http://www.threadless.com/product/715/Byebi.
:) |

niiiiice. i like side placement and the hoodie the best. and if i forget my watch, i have a clock right on my sleeve! how handy! $5 id def buy that shirt.
I think it is a great idea but you need to lose the tape cassette to stay on concept with the turn of the century items.
thanks for the ideas guys. if this scores well enough, I'll fix it so it has your suggestions.
now that I look at it, the cassette does seem fairly out of place, lol. |
A tad too cluttered, too much going on. I like the concept, I just think it needs a little more work to be a better design. Good color choices though!

About my design
i.e. Science/Technology defing Culture:
Why is our generation so different from, say, our grandparent's generation?
We have cell phones, instant messaging, mp3 players, laptops, digital cameras, etc. Our generation has grown up surrounded by the newest, fastest, shiniest technology, and we can hardly imagine a world without it. (For example, no internet, no such thing as threadless.com. eep)
On the other hand, our grandparents had -- gasp -- black and white TVs and "had to walk two miles to school, uphill. BOTH WAYS!"
Just kidding about the last part.
Feel free to zoom for detail.
P.S. Side placement is my personal favorite. :)
