In theory, I like this design.
Would LOVE a non acid trip circa 60's typeface on back though. Something a bit more skate worthy. Lastly, the scale for the brit cop looks off, is he/she as tall as the skater kid? |

i agree with the above comments about the typeface, and the scale of the cop. I like it though. Totally fresh take on an otherwise stale concept.

this is true on the cop, but great execution on the idea. there's been alot of "evolution" ideas that simply suck. i'll give this a 4 for now

Pretty cool, but a the idea's a little cliche.

in general I'm tired of the evolution figures theme, but this one made me pause & reconsider- the silhouettes are really nice, lots of action & flow.

skateboarding is for middle school boys who are excited to be let out of the house. and no one is really running after them and freaking out about it, though they seem to all have illusions that there are thousands of old fashioned police officers on their tails. in fact, the law is probably happy that they are skateboarding instead of doing something more dangerous. get over it.

thanks for the comments, guys. really appreciate it. As per the previous design, the skateboarder symbolized the rebels of the 90's, and the tee is all about symbolism. I agree that skating is widely accepted these days, hell, ESPN has extreme sports running all the time.
I know very well that evolution is re-made to death a gazillion times, but I guess that's why I did it with this particular feel to it. A new dimension to it, I guess. Any suggestions for placement/ color, guys? Thanks again, all. |

dude, that is the best evolution design i have ever seen. the idea has been done to death but you've totally kicked it up the arse and made it fresh like. also cavemans and bonelesses are the way forward. some darker shirt colours would be cool as well

i don't care if it's cliche, i don't care if skating's too mainstream for the message to carry across as effectively. It's still an awesome t-shirt. 5$

wow! Finally a shirt combining two of my least favorite Threadless topics: skateboarders surprised when destroying other's property lands them in the clink AND narrow-minded evolutionary straight lines, especially one where a neanderthal goes from barely upright to a chain-wallet in one frame. Bravo!

Totally would have bought this and worn it over and over again until the shirt was tattered and then I would cut it up and sew it onto my hoodie!

Quite a number of people gave me valuable feedback, and I'd like to thank everyone for their kind solutions and ideas. I worked this design around those ideas, so I hope this time round it is more acceptable. Cheers and thanks, peeps! :)
