This is splendid. I sorta intepreted this as the modern woman : flesh and bones, but sometimes expected (by society) to function like we have superpowers (i.e. to fly), balancing being a good worker with being a good gf/wife/daughter to being a good friend to being a gd role model to... you get the drift. Or maybe it's just the Asian society.
All in all, great illustration! You have a really nice style. And I prefer the 2nd option too, although I think both works well, depending on individual taste. |

very cool design! I wish there was a bit more contrast, maybe if the gears were the darker shade and/or the veins in the wings were a bit thicker? it kind of seems like all the elements are blending together too much, dont want to miss all the great detail.

I wish the wings were more translucent - you should be able to see a little of the gears through the wings, and not just the shadows. This is really cool overall though, and I could see this getting printed.

I'd never be able to find it now, this was years ago, but there is a Death Cab For Cutie concert poster that shows this body with the wings and as soon as I saw this design it completely threw me off. It's exactly the same. That part, anyway. The rest is different but I think worse, as well. I'm sorry, but I'm not digging the clocks or the gears, or even the spirally arms.
But I guess it's just not my type of design anyway. |
