The text is neccesary or else the wearer will answer the same question over and over. Perhaps cyrillic looking letters wil help people get the corrolation a little faster. I have a hard time with the lack of contrast. I'm not suggesting black and red, though that would give a nod to the Soviet Union, but I can't see any details of the design.

Very nice art! I think the text is necessary too – it's asking a lot to recognize that particular satellite as a riff on Sputnik without the guidance of the word.

i love everything, especially the text and font. if you made it cyrillic, i would never buy it, because the letters aren't the same. and i can read russian.
unless you actually spelled it phonetically in cyrillic. that could work. but then it would look like: buthuk. and that just doesn't make me think beatnick at all. sorry for rambleing, 5$ |

yeah, i disagree.
it really needs the text or you'd have people walking up to you all the time and asking what it means. which would just be annoying. so i really like it WITH the text. |

This reminds me of that part in Sputnik Sweetheart where Miu called Jack Kerouac a sputnik. And I'm probably the only one who gets this reference but I love that book so much so I love this t-shirt SO YESSS
