This is a reworking of my previous submission concept for this contest. To sum it up, I wanted to show that even parts of culture that are crazy and unscripted have science working in the background. I made the guy rock, and took some of your suggestions, too!

This is awesome, but for some reason I hate seeing Times New Roman (or similar fonts) on shirts... so I wouldn't buy it like this. Still a great idea though.

Yeah, ditch the times font - maybe a sketchy/scratchy hand-written font would be better... but maybe that's been done on another tee already??

The text definitely needs to be stylized to match the rocker guy better. I think if the point is that science is working "in the background" then the rocker should be more centered relative to the text. IE enlarge the text and have it wrap around him.

Or maybe that would look horrible...*shrug*

please keep these suggestions in mind when working on your next design, but do not resub. it is seriously annoying. use the critique blog first if you want to make changes based on peoples' input.

Joann, it is several different equations, including determining the speed of sound in ideal atmospheric conditions, and the Taylor Expansion.
