The lightning bolts are throwing the perspective off because they look like they start right behind the desk, but the guy yelling into the phone is still in front of them... So he looks small rather than further away.

Also, the size of the phone handset relative to the rest of the phone on the desk is not small enough to compensate for the distance, and there's no perspective on the cord running from the phone on the desk to the handset.

There really isn't a big sense of depth in the illustration, so the dude looks small.

Other than that, it's really nicely done. One of the few guy-playing-guitar subs where the guy playing the guitar doesn't look like Jimi or like some stupid clip art.
