this looks awesome, but I can't help but think it would be nicer if there was something to pull them together, so it was just pictures of stuff on a shirt (albeit, nice pictures)

:D instead of the line you should put dates underneath

Thank you for your comments. I wanted underline the contrast between two tools. The contrast seemed largely obvious to add anything between them. It's a kind of game: the watcher brings the link, builds the story. If one needs affect, it's ok. If one prefers the facts, it's ok too... Feel free to interpret.

Might be neat to just do the clippers by themselves. Outstanding effort.

livetrace does not matter on a flint. it would look like that anyway.

apartment223: you are right. Drawing a stone with flat tints looks always like "dynamic vectoring". I couldn't help it.

I like the concept, but i agree with people on the issue of the flint being traced. You should try and get it's design more similar to that of the clippers

My first reaction is that I love it. I have to agree that the clipper is beautiful. So much so that it kind of overshadows the flint, this could be a good thing (showing evolution in aesthetics as well as technology?). The understated colour range is great. Also good is the fact you have to think about for just a couple seconds before you get it. Nice work.

I think you should take some of the others advice and ditch the thick line and replace it with dates underneath the items...or even make a futuristic knick-knack involving lasers and other unneccassary gadgets for a model of the future....i think this concept would work even better showing the evolution of the razor, since that has been through ridiculous and extremely unneccassry evolutions- I mean, do we really need seven blades at once action?

the clipper is bad ass, but the stone looks like a pine cone, maybe if there were a way to lighten it alittle?

i LOVE the concept, however, the divider between the two "methods" isn't effective

i think dividing them with maybe a time line? would make it super fantabulous.

or maybe i just need to stop being an archaeology nerd.

Every time I look at the stone.. I see a scary face. It disturbs me somewhat. But, I like the design very much.
