Really brilliant. It would be great if this was printed & Threadless put a few $ onto the purchase price to go to Aids/HIV charities. It'd be a good thing for Threadless too, they'd get more traffic with links from charities websites. $5 from me.

My voice teacher died of AIDS when I was in high school. I used to wear that red ribbon all the time. This shirt hits close to home. I do like it. 5$

Before this I use Pink, but that is wrong colour choice, becuase Pink Ribbon is for Breast Cancer. |

it's lovely and really great for HIV/AIDS. I wish you'd make the ribbon stand out more though, maybe by highlighting in orange as you did to the kids.

this is really sad and great and beautiful. i would definitely buy it and wear it. i really like it on red, although i don't think the color necessarily matters, since when i first saw it i thought it was an army ribbon (as in, the child lost a parent to the war) and it still had the same meaning.

i love this design, but i think it may be a little hard to see on the red background. since i like it in red for HIV though, perhaps darkening the details just slightly?

I think anything that isn't orange is not clear enough to be on the tshirt. The design should be somewhat darker to have any effect. Otherwise, nice idea!

See, while I love the t-shirt, I would never wear it, in case someone just made the fairly innocent assumption that I was HIV+. Which is a shame because I think it's an amazing concept and design. Sorry, no $ but still a 5.

Beautiful... the lines and shadows on the boy and the ribbon could still be darkened a tad more to make him subtly more distinctive than the girl since the focus shld be on him. I would so wear this and would not care abt narrow-minded pple. $5 and props to you, Flying Mouse.

Is there a reference to north-south, I mean, so many children die of HIV in the south and the little boy is in the bottom, that is what I frst saw.

even though the ribbon works for AIDS in red most people won't see that the'll just see a ribbon the same color as the rest of teh shirt and assume its for brest cancer. either way this is a great shirt. $5

I wouldn't wear this because it makes me so sad. I can't wear a shirt that I know will not make anyone happy, just very depressed. However, I find it rare that a shirt will make me emotional, so I give it a 5.

my only problem... i dunno with this shirt, while that HIV/AIDS sucks a lot.... like a LOT.
But to say that there is an "innocent" victim of HIV/AIDS (note the "innocent" victim is a white male child...) it connotes that there are victims who are "guilty" No ones deserves HIV/AIDS no matter what they do. that's my two pence. |

It is a nice design but I agree with periwinklepixie in relation to your language around HIV/AIDS.
I work for a sexual health agency and to use the word innocent implies some people deserve it, whether this was your intention or not. I also do not like the use of the word victim, HIV is a virus which people can aquire and have to live with in much the same way as people acquire and live with hep C and other viruses. People living with HIV is far more appropriate language than "Innocent victim of HIV". |
