I am not a huge fan of the science component of this shirt. What is the ball and stick model supposed to be? The closest thing I can think of is that it is supposed to be DNA, but there should be some pentoses (5 carbon rings) in there.

If you didn't take high school chemistry, you're probably not going to get it right away.
Heck, I took high school chemistry and I still didn't get it right away. What's the little diagram supposed to BE? AN IDEA: Periodic Table of Elements? Just throwing it out there. |

The ball and stick model is being used simply to imply science and create interesting patterns within the design. Look at the competition details. :)

The entire purpose of this shirt is the science aspect. It's for one of the competitions that is about *le gasp* Science! With any more information to it it'd be an overload. The simplicity and implication of the shirt alone say "hey. butterflies are pretty. That's science! Omg science is pretty!" at first glance. Therefore, that's all you need. Science is beautiful and simple in its complicated nature. Let it alone, people. If you don't get it, you're probably thinking too hard. |

I think t's a well-thought out idea. Probably want to stick with the purple shirt since that accents the other colors much better.
And since it's simple and the graphics are well placed, $5 |

I really like this design - i might not be 'getting' it since I have like no talent at all - but I love the way the butterfly seems to glow because of the molecules - like i said i could be getting it wrong but it is a very nicely designed shirt ^__^ hooray!
