I dig this. I have a friend who always makes these little paper craft things. I'd probably buy it.

Yay, it works (i think)! Looks like a funny half-human-half-gorilla person who wears his watch on his right hand (like me!). $5 definitely.

oh i like this and the monster toy idea! but the colours are kinda dull for me. the line work could be better too. it's a little unbalanced and the textures don't flow as well as they could.

but i guess that's just me haha.

since the designs pretty quirky, i'd rather see it all out fully quirky!

Are those pock marks or stubble all over this creature's body?
I hope this doesn't give him trouble finding a lady-box creature.

It's funny that you didn't even change the folds from the original Readymech you got the idea from. It makes me wonder what other artists and designers you copy and call your own?

Readymech. Sorry but a 0 from me for this.
I can forgive bad design, I can even forgive subtle ripping, but you didn't even make your own template.
helo
helo on Mar 20 '07
I'm seeing a lot of negative overreaction taking place.
The design on the template appears to be JéF...'s
original artwork so he didn't copy anyone from Readymech.

The idea of putting your artwork on a template is not
new. In the world of vinyl toys various artists' work
can be seen on the same body form (template)
and
no one is having knee jerk reactions.

thats cause they are contacted to do so. Just like readymech. Its not like some random dude just randomly take a dunny and start selling it.

my mold is a little different… and in a t-shirt it is newness!...yeah helo!

worst defense ever.

there are two types of Dunny/collectible figures you can buy: 1) ones desgined by various artists, usually in limited number. The artists get paid for their work and the manufacturer makes money selling them. 2) blank ones. the manufacturer makes money off sales and the customer is the artist and can paint it and sell it if he/she wants to... they can't however go into mass production!

Nowhere has ReadyMech given public permission to take the template THEY designed so that you can use it as you see fit.
