Ahh...I see.

Don Quixote is back and this time actually conquers his "giants", ... leaving a windmill chalk outline gotcha.

Quite clever, but somthing is still bothering me with this design...

Chalk outlines don't make the corpse just dissolve away, so how did they remove the body (windmill) and leave the arrow still there stuck in the ground?

My suggestion; put the arrow in an evidence bag on the ground next to the outline.

FYI for anyone interested...

The character's name is spelled "Don Quijote" by Spanish-speakers; "Don Quixote" is an archaic spelling.

I personally prefer "Quixote", but both are valid.

It was so powerfull arrow, that it actually goes through the body of windmill and gets stucked into the concrete... :-P

And it is called: the power of imagination.. If windmill can get killed, then the arrow can get stucked there too.. :-)

Just kidding.. I appreciate your comments.. Tnx !

I thought Don Quixote used a lance, not a bow and arrow...

pxlb, nice work! And I say leave the arrow! It would be odd to have some random evidence bag graphic floating in the design.

it was either a spear or a lance in the story. no matter, though. some horse and donkey hoofprints through the composition might add something.

Awesome. Who cares what implement he used, Don Quixote killed that windmill to death!

only reason I brought it up is that in almost every bit of art depicting Don Quixote he's using a lance:

Don Quixote

Don 2

Don 3

Don 4

Of course it doesn't really matter in the long run. But if that's the case, why use a windmill? Why not have Don Quixote killing an ox cart or a Spanish mission with a bow and arrow? Besides I think a big ol' lance would take down a windmill a lot faster than a tiny arrow. And a big lance sticking out of the ground in the chalk outline would be cool. sorry, I know, I'm being anal...

anyway, I gave this a 4. Great artwork and great idea!

Yes, he was using a lance before - and he never killed any windmill with it.. :) Today he is back in town and he is now using new weapon which is far more effecient, as you can see... :)

Tnx for the comments anyway ! ;) And tnx for 4 !

Come on, who actually cares is it a lance or a arrow ?

It's a spanish literature, it's clever, and I love it!

Watching this one!

mrdeadhead
mrdeadhead on Mar 04 '07
good concept, and the style works for it. not my style, but i like it. if this doesn't get printed you could always just use the title as the basis for a movie or play, make that successful and just have the shirts printed yourself and sell them in the lobby. cause i mean, that's so not the long way to do things...

I love it... And concerning the spelling like said Don Quixote (as I prefer) is the old Spanish spelling. But as texted on the Tee. "He is back" which means the modern spelling :)
