You know, this is a clever idea. It would work better, I think, if you used a brown/beige combo for the sand AND the outline of the house/windmill/barn. So the whole town is made from the sand, too. Then the sand color would contrast with the green frame holding it. Just my two cents. The ants could be brown, instead of black, to save an ink color.

lockemonda - this is how the real ant farms are. the towns are just little props to add to the flavor of the farm so its not just boring ants in sand

the ending - he based his design on a real ant farm also, so they look similar

theicraze - i based the colors on an actual ant farm so there wasn't much variety there

I think you should make the word Science more tunnel like and definately lose the shadowing on the letters. That takes away from the reality, doesn't it?

I love this idea, but wholeheartedly agree with bigodrummer that the text needs to be tunnel-like. Hand draw it in cursive to look like real ant tunnels and this sub is golden!

I like it except I really don't care for the colors. Too bright for me.

I love how you based your design on an actual ant farm (very nostalgic!), but the colours don't work very well for the presented shirt colours...just my opinion.

underground in the sand definitely needs more ants, more detail, more tunnel effect.
i like the idea of the design alot though!

i like the linked design better, the idea and the ants are in the right role.
the ants in your design it just represents the science theme, not less.
