About my design

I thought I would give an explanation and then thought nahhhhh, if nobody gets it it's useless anyway. :)

Oh, you should have refined the concept using the critique section first. I love the concept too -- but it can be better executed.

Thanks. What would you do differently? I considered the critique section, but I always end up with something that's not me.

Ewwww. Butterflies in the stomach I'll take, but swallowing a worm....

This design looks tenfolds better in the thumbnail. I am disappointed. The only thing that is visually sweet about this is the catapiller. If I squint, I can see the delicate lines and cute legs. Does Threadless even have a shirt THAT shade of green? I wish they did. It's rad.

I like it...however it missing something...i'm not quite sure what, perhaps the line quality of the outlined stomach bothers me, it's too consistent...

It's a larva. The larva represents new love/renewed love. You think the stomach line should be thicker and thinner in places?

I get the butterflies in the stomach concept...but why the spider's web?

That just kinda creeps me out.

Thanks Laura.

Djdole, metamorphosis of love is about the cycles of love. New love, fresh butterflies. As time goes on it grows stale (hence butterfly caught in web), but then love either renews or moves on to the next best thing (the larva).
