I thought Banksy when i first saw thins. But i think it works well on this tshirt. Its not hard to conceive that 2 people had the same idea.

I am not going to call it a ripoff, its not THAT original, but I do like banksys execution better.

Ok, just wanted to share my thoughts and where i was going with this...
I was inspired by Banksy's maid on a wall. I totally loved it and i thought it would be great if he offered it in a wearable form. unfortunately he doesn't. In my convoluted state, i truly believed that if it doesn't exist in tshirt form, and i want it to, then i should make one myself. It was never my intention to plagiarize/rip it off. The last thing i wanted to do was to copy his, so i did mine in a different style/different lady. If only he offered his design on a tshirt, i would have just bought his! Only now, i see it looks bad on my part, sorry, if i could i would repeal this sub. :(

I don't know about this whole rip off thing. I mean the idea of someone sweeping dirt under the rug isn't new. IN fact, I used to sweep dirt under the rug when I was little and doing chores... so stop ripping me off!

I think it looks great and I don't think it's a rip off.

When I first saw banksy's maid images, I knew that I really wanted a shirt or print with this image on it too. Your intentions were good in that you wanted share his cool design, but not at the same time because you are trying to make a $ on some one else art work.

Hmmm if you liked the design & wanted it on a shirt... then draft one up and get it printed.... Or get a plain shirt make a stencil and print/paint yourself. it's ok to be inspired by others work and borrow alter, remix it into something else (I dont think this goes far enough from the original idea) but it's not cool to attempt to gain/take the credit for other peoples work. Afterall if this got picked and you got a (Considerable) prize that would be because you had looked at somone elses work and applied it, to the best of your ablity (in its literal form) to a different surface.... And if theres anyone who defends this kind of thing and thinks it's ok well great send me all your designs so as I can get them all printed up in whatever form so as I can start making money from them and not pass anything on to you...

i think its important to say righhhhht away in a design if you were inspired by ____.

thankfully, you didnt copy his design verbatim & seemed to have at least taken a minute or two to draw your own design in homage, different placements, not even a dustpan to be seen..so this isnt a TOTAL rip of, but indeed an inspiration.
your maid looks a lot better, and dosnt have the slackjawed yokel look of banksy's, you just have to be careful so as to bot be crucified & come upfront right away.
i give you a $5 coz it looks very good & you owned up to being inspired. coz the B man rulez.

I would wear this if it didn't look like it was intended to be a ripoff of Banksy's work. I love this piece, and the fact that you redid it, but only slightly, will probably turn people off to it..
