poul. I dont think you can say that. I have lived in over 9 countries in my life and have friends from all over the world with almost every belief their is. I am also from Trinidad, country full of every race and religeion. I certainly do not have any phobic attituded towards the unkown. I LOVE going places and experiencing new cultues. This design makes a comment on FUNDAMENTALISM.... so i suppose I do have a phobia of fandamentalism.... but then again so should everyone.

the title for me is what seals the deal.

the title is from a simpsons episode, excpet theirs was " We put the FUN in FUNdamentalistic Dogma." Still, interesting concept. Just not something i'd wear.

Actually I originally got the title form a stand up comic from Iran called Omid Djalili. Ive since learnt that others have used the joke. :-)

Laura: This should only be offensive to fundamentalists. And I dont care if I offend them, they offend me, and are a cancer on the human race. I assume you find it offensive laura because you assumed I was saying "all muslims are fundamentalists." Well i clearly wasnt, you jumped to that conclusion. The only reason i used muslim fundamentalsist for this design is because it is what was used by Omid Djalili in his stand up which inspired this and because they are the most prominant fundamentalists at the moment. If it were the 1980's i would have probably used the IRA for the design and im sure you wouldnt have found it offensive and assumed I was saying all Irish were terrorists.
There was a long and full discussion about this with shirtflirt on my critique. So feel free to have a look at that.

no one's going to know what/who your inspiration was.

as far as the design goes, I think the turbans need to be a different color than the background, their heads kind of disappear.

I don't think it makes sense without the text and explanation. It just looks like cute little Middle Eastern people firing a bomb.

blandford: if i were to stereotype muslims then i wouldnt even think of fundamentalism or terrorism. Those who do; that is their own sad and racisit problem if that is what they think. I dont think we should cater for these people and dismiss this shirt because of their ignorance.
