The one on the back is the British equivalent to flipping the bird. Hence, insulting.

I like it a lot. The idea, I mean. Not the colours or how the hand is cut off. Nor the placement. I'd put it elsewhere.

Not a fan of how the hands are cut off, either, but I think that for the concept the placement works great. Now if only shirt collars permitted the wearer to comfortably put a tshirt on backwards depending on the day's mood, that would be truly awesome. If this is printed I will have to mod my shirt to make that a reality.

Yep. It's because in order to pull a bow you would need two fingers, and often bowmen would have at least one finger cut off to render them useless. So this is like a defiant "Hah! Look, I can still fire an arrow through your face!".

Not a bad design, but not amazingly exciting. I don't like the hand's cutoff either.

I would suggest maybe adding some shading with a more brownish than pinkish tint to it. :)
