Love the concept, love the artwork. I agree the box is obtrusive. Maybe it could be closer to the color of the shirt so it's not so stark.

i love it, just like it is. Jackson Pollock was an artist that did splatter painting, like inside the fish. and a Pollock is a kind of fish. i lol'd

Great shirt, the text just needs to be formatted differently. Maybe in a plaque under the fish? Having it on the side references the way the painting would be titled in an art museum, whereas having it underneath would reference the trophy fish idea more. I understand why you want to keep with the art museum theme (because the reference may not be obvious to some people) but visually it does not work as well. Unfortunately, the people who won't get the joke still wont get it even if the text looks like a museum note to try to tip them off. Nothing wrong with subtlty...

For the text, how about putting it right under the fish and using actual handwriting, like when an artist signs a print? Like this: "Jackson's Pollock, 23/200", for example?

It really doesn't need the text - people that either don't know who Jackson Pollock is, or that Pollock is a type of fish aren't going to "get it" with or without the text. The rest of us get it just fine. It's like having to explain a joke.

What if the pollock was framed? i.e. in the middle of a blank canvas. I know people on here hate frames, but... that would help because then the little white box wouldn't just be floating, it would be anchored by the bottom-right corner of the frame.
