First thing I noticed was that the scale on the umbrella is really odd. Why is the handle so long?

I disagree with the comment about the scale of the umbrella. The whole design is almost like a weird drug trip, which negates the need for proper scaling.

I love it $555555

mushrush on Feb 14 '07
Well if scaling is going to be a problem, let's talk about those tiny skeletons relative to the big one.

Is the title a reference to Coldplay? Just wondering.

I do like! The printing is a little small for me, but none the less, 5!

the design looks great. I think the little skeletons look a little too stiff and also a little too copty/paste. Mayeb have them more loose and natural looking.

IT'S RAININ' TEN!
HALELLUYAH IT'S RAINING SKELE-TEN
YEAH YEAH!

Damn that was a stretch. Interesting design there pal. Center that bad boy and make the whole thing bigger and i might $ this. for now, a bony 3 for you.

Again with the speckling and dust... Clip art? Lifted from a medieval woodcut?

Tiglet, you're rude and not very bright.

The last thing you want someone to do right now is going pouring through their extensive collection of books on Medieval plague art.

I never said it was anything but your inciting friends to join and vote for your design, cocksmoker.

Did they have unmbrellas in Medieval times?

Did they have umbrellas in Medieval times?
Aristarchus
Aristarchus on Feb 16 '07
No, which is why the handle needs to be extra long -- to accomodate an arm not positioned to hold an umbrella.

aristrarchus - its always the fuckers who don't submit ANY design that talk shit... Shame on you. His profile said he wants the 'Cock Sucker' shirt reprinted... Shows you what kind of douche your dealing with. Oh, I like this shirt.
jpzy34
jpzy34 on Feb 16 '07
point taken, but that is awfully nitpicky...and something feels wrong about my using that word.
mrdeadhead
mrdeadhead on Feb 16 '07
my guess, is that you only had one skeleton, and instead of changing the arm's position you just made a really big umbrella?
well, i hope you decide to try working on the skeleton (if it is actually yours) so that the umbrella looks less, uh, cooky.
like the idea though, not bad.
tiglet
tiglet on Feb 16 '07
thannnnks BryanWinds, you are my new best friend. by the way... i was totally stoned when designing this... so dont blame me for "cookiness"

love the unusual proportion of the umbrella.. and the shadow.. but not the general shape of all the little skeletons.. doesn't have any real direction there.. great start though.

drew, traced, not stolen.

pistolpete on Feb 19 '07
Ah man, I remember when I found this image on google images and then live traced it. However, I at least tweaked the settings on live trace to make it look half decent. How hard is it to crack open Grey's Anatomy and do some real work? More effort would be nice.

Love the design, but not liking the placement or shirt color. Anything but a white shirt, center it, and you've got a sale.

Although I would give this a $5, after reading the comments, I don't think a traced design deserves for you to get all the perks youd get from winning.

fuck all the bickering, the shirt is cool.
sparklypants

and just out of curiosity, why would a picture of a skeleton automatically be medieval plague art?
Jenay
Jenay on Feb 20 '07
You can't go wrong with skeletons.
sinistersnipps
sinistersnipps on Feb 20 '07
to sparklypants: this "skeleton" is a popular pic in most history books referring to the black plague during the dark ages. You can find this skeleton drawn many ways with the same pose.
I do agree with you because this is a cool shirt, i would wear it, but seriously... think before you open your mouth:)

I'd kinda like to see the raining skeletons to be a little more individual and less stamp-like...and that the umbrella had the sort of definition the skeleton does, as oppose to being a solid silhouette.
