About my design

I somehow doubt that this is a completely original design, but hey, I thought I'd submit my take on it.

Take a listen:

There are 10 types of people in this world: Those who know binary code, and those who don't.

For those who missed what towgi was saying, its binary for "made of zeros and ones"

I'd like it better if the kerning on the O was fixed.

This could work better if there was a bit of texture to the sticker, maybe a shadow and a corner peeling?

Some people seem not to get it. The zeroes and ones translate the message to:

Hello my name is "made of zeroes and ones"

made of zeroes and ones =

That's weird, Threadless usually inform me when my designs go to vote. (This has been pending forever, which is also weird).

Anyway, thanks everyone for the comments.

I think this my first design to go beyond the 24hr mark. Hoo-ray, hoo-rah! I should concentrate on the nerd/geek market: that's a good market, there's good dollar on that market.

I'm glad someone on here knew binary. This a pretty cool idea.

tee hee that's funny. but i know that at least for me i definitely wouldn't have gotten it without everyone's explanations, so would it work on a tshirt?
Qisalonelyletter
Qisalonelyletter on Feb 21 '07
I thought this was binary, I don't know too much about it. Someone tried explaining it to me, but I got lost.

Anywho-Neat shirt!

See I think this is too nerdy for most people, and too obviously nerdy for nerds. I work with scary smart people who'd all make fun of me for wearing this.

For what its worth, I do appreciate it though.

monkey_says on Feb 22 '07
I would buy this if not for the kerning on the O of Hello, like someone above said. So get the 'hello my name is' part right and everything else is awesome. I love binary stuff. :D
CopyPasteRepeat
CopyPasteRepeat on Feb 23 '07
I think the kerning issue is just an optical illusion. I have altered the kerning, but it's equal for all the letters in the word 'Hello'. I think it looks a fraction off because of the empty space between the 'L' and the 'O'.

I did use the 'original' as a guide and it looks pretty much the same.

So I understand where your coming from, but I honestly don't see it as an error. If it gets picked I'll be sure to revise it slightly.

Can you group the digits by group of 8? It's really hard to read that way!

CopyPasteRepeat on Feb 23 '07
Ascorbique: The digits are grouped in a constant stream to give the feeling that it's printed out. That and I'm a fraud. I used a 'text to binary' converter. The shame!

It's okay.. we all know how common the "Hello my name is" shirts are. and Wow, you added binary. That's NEVER been done before..

I like the fact that you have to explain it to people. It gives them something to ask you about. 5$
