Thank you so much for the comments, everyone! I like her dress too, Mezo - I want it for myself. I also wish the cars were more visible, but I lost a lot of potential detail at the last minute when the original placement was declined for being outside the print area. I hope the cars still give enough of an impression of it being a drive-in.

castle on Feb 03 '07 Her arm is freakishly long right now, and it could be that the hand being covered by the grass is emphasizing this. I try to avoid cropping at the wrists whenever possible.
Nice concept and drawing. The color could be a little more sophisticated for the theme (particularly the harsh red). Still, nice sub. |

Thank you for the feedback and the votes - all very much appreciated. This is my first design. The woman's arm is as long as it is in the reference photo - I regret that the grass covering her hand obscures the length and throws things off. Good advice about not cropping at the wrists, Castle. Thank you!

ok. i see that the people in the movie are kissing, and at the same time, the boy and girl are kissing...
but, when i first saw this, i didn't notice the cars or realize that it was a drive in. so the people in the rectangle looked like a close up of the boy and girl, and i thought it was a comment on how stage kisses are fake... if you see what i'm saying. was that intentional? 4$ |

this turned out awesome, i think it's a really good idea for tribeca. it's sweet and nostalgiac and shows passion literally AND figuratively. i miss my old drive in. i don't think her arm is too long. 5$

this may be a stupid observation... but the movie rectangle looks like two guys to me. awesome if it's intentional, but if not you may want to work on that.

I'm not sure it's her arm length that looks so "off" as much as the fact that when you look at her neck and then look where her boobs are.... damn! Girl needs a more supportive bra to push those puppies back up where they're supposed to be! She is way too young looking to have such saggy boobies.

I love this concept! I think the movie screen should be a little bigger, it kind of fades into the background... also, the two people kissing in the movie kind of look like 2 guys. I don't know if that was intentional or not. But this is really neat! 4
