Bastard isn't a bad word. A bastard is an illegitimate child. I think the platypus should look more like a platypus. The color of the feet and bill make it look like a duck wearing rubber gloves. And if you overlook the front feet, it just looks like a duck. The thing to the right looks like a tail, but it also looks like a shadow. Actually, when I looked at the thumbnail, the first thing that came to my mind was "penguin."

And don't forget they have a poison spur on the back of their hind legs.... they say it packs a wallop too!!! damn weird ass platypuses. Let's see... that makes them a poisonous mammal that lays eggs.. Freaks!!

Cute but i think it's be better with the colours inverted (ie blue bill, orange body) because it looks so much like a duck

OK. I like "bastard". It has a certain je ne sais quoi. However, if the Hoohah Monologues crowd wins out you could always change it to "red-headed stepchild".
