Pretty nice! I like it on the medium blue..
I'm no samurai-sword expert, but this honestly doesn't remind me of a sword as much as a bendy pole.. maybe make it look sharper, or give more definition to the line running down the middle of the sword? The cardinal and hilt looks really good, though. |

It's actuially based on the sword i use in my practice. It's called a "jin tachi"
I chose placement after imagining what it would look like on both male and female wearers. The contour of the sword would fit fairly well I think. |

I agree with Adam Jaques. I think you should make the sword a little smaller, and, rather than having it balancing on end, make it look like it's stuck in the ground.

I was originally thinking of putting it stuck in the ground. However I opted against it. To cut it of abruptly without and ground actually drawn would look more awkward. To draw a ground would throw off the flow and aesthetic construct. :-)

I wouldn't personally add this to my wardrobe.. but as far as the artwork goes.. i love it!
I love how simple lines add detail and texture. It's funny (to me) how the thing I like most about this illustration is the ribbon that's coming off the sword. I just think it looks amazing! Well done! |

man i have been angry at a bunch of terrible submissions in a row, with all the same cutesy popular animals and stuff. I almost just gave you a terrible score before i actually looked! the drawing is nice, and i like the colors! i don't really feel like it needs to be in the ground or anything. very pretty stylistically! 5$

if you have to have blue than the medium blue is best but I think that black would be better. It's a nice design though. Good luck.

Nicely done. I'd like it on charcoal grey. I really enjoy the texture on the hilt, which looks just fine to me.

Apparently last time I described the meaning of my submission it hurt me so I'm shuttin up. :-)
But Kashira is the japanese term for the decorative cap on the end of the hilt. (Where the cardinal is perched)
