In the stories of King Solomon, a character named Ashmodai with “the feet of a chicken, the wings of a bat, the head of a lizard, and the personality of a jackass” torments and befuddles the wise king with his illusions… it’s a ridiculously awesome story.

Anyway – I love things that walk that fine line between “adorable” and “evil”. I also love mythological creatures… Between that and the story of Ashmodai, this lil guy was born.

This is my first submission… I would really, really like to hear any suggestions or advice anyone has!

Very gool, but the cicken legs bother me. They look less like feathers and chicken than th legs of a hairy t-rex

i like this a lot but the placement on the shirt makes the whole thing unattractive. something needs to happen here so that this is more than just a character on a shirt.

Hmm.. Maybe a side placement might work better?

I just don't know if those chicken feathery things work. Belly up I think this is amazing, but when I see the legs it's not as great for me.

Like the color. Love the drawing until you come to the furry/feather legs. They seem to throw off the rest of it off. Look forward to more of your efforts

Maybe if you put it in the bottom right hand corner so the tail was going over the other side.... And maybe like the suggestion of some treasure and gold and stuff behind him. But I love the dragon, especially the tounge.

I'm trying to think what to do instead of the chicken-y legs... I guess I could do plain lizard-type legs, but that seems a little boring?

He looks like a blue-tongue skink with chicken legs and a snakey tongue. I just think it's cute how he's got his little arms wrapped around the box.

Oh, I also wanted to add that it was indeed a conscious choice not to color the lizard-dude... Because it's about illusion, I wanted to show how some things can appear more real than others.

The legs are great - it's your own thing, and it's a lot more interesting than some standard dragon. You obviously have the skills, so go even crazier next time.

I really think this is great - even the chicken-y legs. I do agree that it could be placed on the shirt better though. Perhaps the tail wrapping to the back. Giving it a twist on ownership?

Nice style. I like how just his eyes and the treasure chest are colored, it makes those parts really stand out.
