"Springtime's comin', wait till you see it poking through with them shoots of beauty." -- "Thompson Girl" by the Tragically Hip. The design was inspired mainly by my desire to make miniature scarves for all the birds that don't fly south for the winter, but this song was running through my head all while I was working on it. On ash for gentlemen and silver for the ladyfolk.

Oh... those are samaras. I used to always call them "helicopters" when I was little because of the way they spin to the ground when you throw them in the air.

Not crazy about the placement but 5 from me. I think it should be moved to the right, to emphasize the movement.

tiphaine on Feb 05 '07 Interesting J-Ray, I see where you're going with this. After putting it up, I definitely regretted not kicking it another inch or two (in realsize) to the beak side. It could be interesting to move it more aggressively that way... although I do fear the "my boob is a bird!" phenomenon :)
