So... they both wish the other one was white?

I'm a writer (am actually starting a new novel right now) but this doesn't quite do it for me. Sorry! Good luck!

well, it seems like the writer is becoming the differet roles in the bubbles, but i'm not exactly sure how it fits and what it means

Isn't the skin colour difference just to differentiate between the characters? The guy wants to be with another girl and the girl wants to be with another guy.

I'm not a fan of the illustration (the writer looks a bit like john lennon to me, really...and he/she also looks like the girl in one of the small bubbles who, btw, has bad sideburns) and that's hurt the delivery of the concept.

I personally don't care for the design, but sat there trying to figure out the story element (as a writer myself), am intrigued because it sucked me in. I was also intrigued by the controversy that it started on this blog. I personally don't want to wear a shirt that people are going to have to sit there and stare at, to figure out - maybe a movie, but not a shirt.

maybe this is a "love is blind" message. the writer is wearing glasses, perhaps as an indicator of his blindness.

i think it might be the other is think of some one else, because some times the person we marrie isn't allways the person we want to be with.

so in the shirt, the writer is thinking of a couple and in that thought the man proposing is wanting to propose to the writer and the girl is wanting to be proposed to by the writer?

That's the closest answer yet, but still not quite the right one. (If anyone actually manages to figure this out, I'll post that they are correct.)

It's tough to discern yo. The only thing I can think of is that the writer is trying to imagine what it is like to be on both sides/in the mind of both characters.

YAY! I found a stash of mj00 art~!
