i made the heart key plain because i thought it would be way too obvious if i made it all fancy-frilly-pretty and it would more accurately embody the idea if it were just basic and unembellished. i've never seen that other design, it was a good find but i think mine is more conceptually oriented. thanks again for the comments! ps. i was going to draw a skeleton key on the shirt but then i realized that if i did, i wouldn't need any of the other ones! |

There's only one thing I might change about this design: I'd like it if the happiness and heart keys were switched. Somehow, I imagine the key to happiness being something simple and everyday, while I would like the heart key to be frilly and overly senitmental. I realize that's what you were trying to avoid, but it's just my two cents. I give you a 5 anyway.

I absolutely love the keys, $5 for them, but I'm not feeling the lock at all. I'm not sure why, I just think it's a little cheesy. I'm guessing that it matches the heart key, and it's on your sleeve because of the expression "wearing your heart on your sleeve", so it does make sense, I'm just not a fan of it.

hey i really liked this idea! though i noticed the lock is available on the sleeve of the tee, but on the hood of the hoodie.. i think you should keep the "heart on your sleeve" concept for the hoodie as well.. do you agree?

mezo on Feb 05 '07 The idea is there. I like the old rustic look of the keys & your thought to put a padlock on the sleeve. Nice touch. I do NOT like the handwritten font you've chosen, and think the words should be printed in black & not grey. The grey makes them compete with most of the keys.

very original idea..i like it too..
but the 'your heart' key kinda looks rusty. might be better if it looks a bit shiny or glimmering or perhaps made of gold with diamond studded..? and the 'success' key could use a dollar sign design instead too.. |

i guess the only place i thought of going with this shirt is making the keys to abstract ideas (success for example) the outlines, like we know there is one, but not what it looks like, and keeping the ones to "concrete" things in their full pictured glory.
also, do they have to be in a neat box or scattered? right now they look arranged in a drawer, but when i think of looking at keys, i see them splayed out. |

Very interesting. When my brother (who is 31 now) was around 2 or 3, he always had to have keys with him and they had to actually work. I like this.

i collect old keys so this shirt is basically a dream for me.
it makes me really happy to see someone else's appreciation for the beauty and silly word play of keys. i wear my collection on ribbons around my neck, happily creating stories as to where they came from. way to go with the winning thing, $5, i will be buying this. |
