just because it has been done before doesn't mean that this deserves a zero. birth has happened before but that didn't stop your parents from conceiving you (vast mistake on their part). anyhoots, i think this is a really fun design.

The joke's been around for ages, so it's no surprize that it's been done before, most things have. Instead of judging work on what has gone before, try looking at it objectively. Do YOU like it, would YOU wear it. Have an opinion, express it.

In general, I second chelly. You would be very hard pressed to find something that hasn't been done before in someplace or another. It has been said "Creativity is simply a matter of hiding your sources." As long as this is an original work of art, what's the big deal?

eh, i don't care what everyone else is saying about how it's been done before. i personally haven't seen it around anywhere, and i like the design, it's cute, so i'd definitely buy it.

I didn't know this was doen before so i found it really funny, but if you copied it it takes credit from you, maybe it's just a coincidence and then,... well that is bad luck.

I do like it, and if it were the first i'd seen of it's kind, it would be atleast a 4. But i have to agree it loses points for rehashing an old gag, even if done well The artwork on the turtle is excellent, i think the snail needs work. I give it a 3.

Alright, look. It wasn't copied. I don't copy, I don't steal ideas, I simply draw what I see in my head, and submit designs that I myelf would like to wear. It seems like there's some sort of elitism from critics about recognizing a similar design. If I submit something no one has seen before, there'll still be that jackass who says, "I've seen a shirt with two sleeves before, it's been done. Sorry, I give it a 1." For the next one I'll be all original and submit some cute penguins and polar bears... maybe a robot or two.

a friend of mine had a shirt with this design in middle school. i think it was from the mall.

i think it's cute. i'd like it better if the turtle was on the left side and the "wheee" wrapped around towards the back.

I like it. Well executed. How much has "I heart whatever" been beat to death? That slogan is far more recognized and is replicated in more ways than I can count. I personally have never heard this joke and or seen this design before in any form. I would wear this. Good work.

i think this design is well done. regardless if someone has seen it somewhere before... not all of us have been on threadless since it's creation, nor looked through every design every submitted. i think it's super cute - love the turtle's face! i'd buy it!
