I think this is a fantasic illustration, I love everything about the colour & style - even the blue! But I don't like 'story'.
I presume it's a monster about to eat the girl .. sorry, but unfortunately to me it looks like a pervert trying look up a young girls skirt. :-/ |

some thoughts. i gave $5, but maybe the eye can be on the flower rather than on the monster. 1) it can be more eerie and 2) the perv up the skirt thing can be averted 3) it makes more biological sense. then it would be watching its prey and would know when to snap rather than be watching ... nothing underground. note that a mole wouldn't have an eye underground having dirt grinding into it. an eye at the end of the stalk would make sense though. perhaps it could have something like vestigial eyes where the giant eye now is.

not to nag, but now I'm obsessed: Are there 7 colors here including the shirt? The brown hair, skirt and center of the fishes eye seem to be a different color brown... it's probably my screen. Anyway, awesome design. I like the blue.

This totally reminds me of one of the Greek myths in which Hades gets Zeus to create a beautiful flower to lure Persephone, the human girl he's in love with to the underworld while she's collecting flowers...

My parents used to sing that to me when I was little. Wasn't it a war song? Anyways from a critique standpoint I would say that I love the look of the root, it reminds me of anime, it would please me to see the girl in anime-style. Also clouds would be a nice touch. Thoughts?
