nice work but you shouldnt have the bits of mirrors down the bottom, as far as im concerned its just an unaesthetic distraction.
i love the idea, also not sure about the phrase.
i don't really like the bits at the bottom at all, i'd get rid of them. nice work though |
the word DJ needs a better J, maybe if the top bar of the font extended to the right as well it would have fixed that issue.
Lol if i was into clubbing i'd deffinatley buy it, but really good idea, keep the broken bits at the bottom too it makes it alll the more unique
I agree with bortwein. I thought it was an incomplete "O" for a few seconds.
Really cute, though. You guys- getting rid of the DJ part would just ruin the disco ball! |
I didn't get it at first because I couldn't see that the mirror ball was broken, maybe if it had a crack in it, would be more apparent. Nice idea though.
i was thinking maybe you could fix the J by removing the first square of the serif (upper-left square) and placing it to the right of the stem... maybe? could work
The 'J' would read better without the top serif entirely since the other letters have none (not sure about the 'C'). Otherwise, love the concept.
Hmmm - I totally didn't see there being any problem with the J.
No probs tho - its an easy fix Cheers for the reactions everyone |
I'm with the crowd on the J. Take the top line off and it might be easier to read. I thought you were going for "dog" at first and forgot the g. I'm also a bit slow sometimes, though
awesome, but it's a bit distracting that it only seems to be curved horisontally, the vertical axis needs to be curved too
I love the disco ball, not too crazy about the quote though. I would go without the broken tiles, but maybe try puting the reflections around the shirt.
haha reminds me of drama club in middle school where just before the show the disco ball we were using fell from the ceiling onto the stage. good times :D
I agree with everyone that says fix the J.
but once you fix that.... it gets $5 in my book. I would buy this in less than a heart beat. |
nice design seven-hundred............ I almost want some rfeflection somewhere? It's a little flat maybe but I would wear it!!!!
I didn't know it said "DJ" either. I like it otherwise. And the mirror wasn't broken, just some small mirrors fell off, so it's not bad luck.

About my design
I'm not too sure about the broken mirror tiles along the bottom - they will be placed a lot further down on the actual shirt than the preview allows.
All comments appreciated - particularly musings on how much bad luck you get for busting a mirror ball.
Oh and a big, massive thank you to Staffel for arranging this contest - Cheers dude
