About my design

by Knine
This illustration was inspired by a phrase coined by my wife... it wasn't directed at anyone, it just happened in traffic one day... and it's been catchy since.

As she happens to be a Caucasian married to this Hispanic, it was only a matter of time for her to have caught on to these types of bilingual puns that tend to develop in the southern border towns like the one where I grew up...

So many of us gringos need to pay more attention to when the light turns green. :)

Witty mi amigo, wit-tee. the follow-up can have a big cheesy grin with a plus sign and "Go" for GRINgo. :)

Hehe, I love the concept ^3^ but the whole image is kinda disjointed (the stop light, cars and text feel like completely separate elements). Plus it's just a bit too detailed to get quickly. I'd try maybe a view from the front?

The traffic light is in a really weird spot there... If you took it out and bumped the picture to center, I'd be fine... I think you'd get it without the light, right?

Humorous but I don't really like the illustration...seems in need of some touching up. The light needs to be a little more to the right so it would be visible.

thanks everyone - i am considering kywai's comment, and i'll maybe make rough outlines of the street to unite the vehicles.the traffic signal was difficult to place and now i'm considering one on a pole which would help define the curb/street.i wanted a different shirt color, (which i can still change) but i'm using it for their faces. i had thought of a sky blue or green which would be incorporated as a color in the design.

i'll tweek it and post a link.^..^ -thanks

Cute... but the street light is going to be in the armpit zone and not seen anyhow, so why is it there? I didn't even notice it at first, and I still got the joke.

hey, all! Here's a REDESIGN on the same shirt color. I struggled with the traffic signal too much and took the advice that it is not necessary.^..^

Um, I come from a town full of pickup trucks and we don't like it when people don't go on a green light either.

but cute concept I suppose.

At first look I thought the light was a zippered pocket on the tee-shirt. Not a big deal over all. Nice pun.
