About my design
by little g
Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio: a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy. He hath borne me on his back a thousand times; and now, how abhorred in my imagination it is! my gorge rises at it. Here hung those lips that I have kissed I know not how oft. Where be your gibes now; your gambols, your songs? your flashes of merriment, that were wont to set the table on a roar? Not one now, to mock your own grinning? Quite chap-fallen? Now get you to my lady's chamber, and tell her, let her paint an inch thick, to this favour she must come.

William Shakespeare, "Hamlet"

i love the idea, but the angle that we see the skull from is a bit funky, took me a second to realize what it was...still giving it 5 bucks though :-)

i've worked with a lot of skulls - and even i had a hard time identifying that at first :/ - - - props on not being totally emo and using the cliche typical skull shots... But.... it's hard to read... - - - i'm sure it would be a real pain in the ass and a crap-ton of work, but for this quote - could you use the text to form the lines of a hand holding a skull (in the typical hamlet pose)?

I agree wih rudra. you have no idea it is refering to Hamlet, unless you read it and I don't want to be standing there while people stare at my chest... but I do like the type treatment.

I like the angle of the skull so that it requires thought to understand what it is. I like that the words conform to its shape. However, the type face is small and difficult to read, and would require the audience to get really close. I would much prefer it if the writing were easier to read, but the hand-written look is nice. Bigger, perhaps?

If I didn't already have a shirt with the words "I Knew Him Horatio" on it (made for Halloween), I would be all over this... minus the blood spatter maybe.

   mezo on Jan 24 '07
Looks steller. The placement is bugging me, though. Center the skull...have the blodd splatter off-center. Or will that make you look like your bewb is lactating plasma?
little g
   little g on Jan 24 '07
I agree Mezo, It would be cool if the splatter were going across the shoulder even. I think I was trying to avoid seams. Yum lactating plasma!!
