travis76 on Jan 17 '07 know what you mean. i've been subbing like mad lately, and i don't know why because they never print the same people back to back. if even two won i'd be waiting forever to see them printed. can't beat the art motivation of threadless though. but enough about that stuff. this is your time, and your place.

tomburns on Jan 17 '07 no way dude, talk it up! haha. i feel the same! if threadless wasn't around i wouldn't do a QUARTER of the stuff i do. most of the ideas i sub are just funny or pun-like, but i like to experiement with all types of designs, and i love the feedback (pos and neg) from here, its instant gratification at its finest! - i actually have a pretty sweet illustration that im gonna sub hopefully today for the JOT2 thing, im stoked about it and it is a departure from my normal clean vector stuff.

Well, the design seems to be built around the title. It's a good pun.
Without it, it's just Bill Cosby dressed up as Death, which DOES appeal to me, for some reason but I think you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone at all who would make the connection between the illustration and the pun. Not that that's a bad thing, I suppose. |

it is not illegal to use a celebrities image if for a parody reason. This was determined by the Hustler Magazine vs Jerry Falwell case decided in 1988. Case Summary . yeah I know its wikipedia but it sums up the case well and has pics.
