Mike Laughead on Jan 13 '07 When I was drawing stuff for the design I was thinking of the original Zelda game. I guess I should have realized that I played the Windwaker game and it had all that same stuff (mostly). I guess I should feel less old. But the shirt reminds me of the time when my friends had a nintendo with the Zelda game, and I was still playing Pitfall on my Atari. I thought they were so lucky/cool.
Anyway, I am done typing for now. |

Very nice! Few designs can pull off referencing a video game without, a) over doing it, or b) looking hideous.

Mike Laughead on Jan 13 '07 Yeah, I kinda did a "design a Threadless shirt every day for 5 days" thing. This was my last design on the last day. I had done the teardrop one the day before. It was originally going to be 10 days, so I should finish it sometime. I would love to see them all printed, but I have no idea how it's going to go.

FRICKINAWESOME on Jan 15 '07 Wow...it barely springs out at you this is a Zelda shirt at first glance, but an interesting abstract design until your eye catches site of yellow triangles which kinda resemble the magical Zelda triforce, then the rupees, then the SWORD, THE BOOMERANG, AND LO AND BEHOLD, FINALLY THE MIGHTY YOUNG LINK (whichever of the several hundred Hyrulian history has seen birhted) HAS FINALLY ARRIVED!!! Great design and i love the way you have side-stepped most traditional videogame direct designs. 4$...way to go man!
