I have seen this concept used on a Soulwax album cover:
http://image.guardian.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/gallery/2004/12/16/gslv9.jpg I think it's pretty cool that optical illusions could be recreated on a shirt but I don't think I would buy it. If people didn't see the background image, it would look like you just have a big dot or a mesh-looking circle in the middle of your shirt. Then you'd have to say, "no, no... back up!" And to me, at that point it has lost it's humor or cleverness. This is only my opinion and I didn't want to just say "I wouldn't buy it" without explaining why. |

Neat idea....I've seen it before, my roomie has a shirt that does that...
But on the other hand, I don't find Mr.T either creative or interesting :\ not to mention the circle plopped on the centre of an otherwise blank shirt looks rather ugly. Maybe try again, but with a larger pattern circle (fading at the edges, perhaps) and a more interesting subject. |
