Melting poles and large chunks of ice breaking off and drifting away. Who will help the polarbears? What if your home melted away?

Any input is greatly appreciated.

the concept is great! if i were you, i'll just use the one with the polar bear. i know the idea is to show that they have broken off, but with just the polar bear and the piece of ice is standing on, the message is pretty strong. i love the way the design was executed. very nice!

And I know it's not the EXACT same design but it is still the same concept. And to be honest I like this one alot, but it's kind of been done.

It's impossible for my home to melt, therefore, I am the superior beast.

If it was just the bear on a single chunk of ice... in the middle of the shirt... I think it'd be a little better?

I agree with the single chunk of ice.

Good idea. If you don't believe in global warming, then you obviously don't understand it. Polar bear, itself, could be more pronounced.

a single chunk of ice doesn't convey the ...drift, and the large chunk in the upper right does your image no justice. SO, little remnant bits like the one nearby may do the trick

I didnt see the polar bear originally. I think it blends with the white ice cap too much.

Thanks to everyone for the input, I appreciate it!

Yeah, I was aware of the Permafrost Pollution print when i made this, but I think the difference in design justifies this.

I agree with the polar bear being highlighted a bit more, although in general, these 640x480 previews shrink things quite a bit, and so subtle details get kinda lost.

As to the comment regarding the ditching of the mainland, I think it's rather essential to get the message.
FOTL shirts have room for this on the sleeve, which would be nice.

Thanks for everyone who votes and comments. I'm thrilled even getting noticed, seeing as this is my first design here.

I like it better than PermaFrost, which I love...lose the big flat chunk in the upper right, add another small chunk somewhere. I don't mind the white-on-white bear/ice image, and I can't think of any other way to make a distinction...so go for it!

Regarding Permafrost Pollution, as i've said - this design is justified by the difference in design. In my opinion.
And when it comes to this: http://www.threadless.com/submission/99845/The_fruit_of_our_evolution, i honestly did not see that design before i made this. Similar designs happen, partly because I haven't checked out every design that is submitted here - yet.

Anyways, here in Norway, Trondheim the winter has definitively been unusual with waay higher temps than normal.

Thanks for all the votes and comments.

It's sad that some people still don't believe that global warming is actually occurring. I think this is a great design because it gives a sense of the bear's predicament.

Oh, and here in Minnesota, the winters have been gradually getting milder for the past 50 years or so. Natural phenomenon? Man-made disaster? Combination of both - most likely. Potentially devastating for humanity? We'll see....

the world has shown over millions of years warming and cooling patterns - the Holy Land used to nice a green and lush not the desert that it is today. i am over the gloabl warming t-shirt thing - but I would like to see more from you as you seem like you have a lot to say.

I'm not sure if this is working right now. I think all you really need is the polar bear on top of that glacier. The other two glaciers you can do without and still get your point across.

i stared at this for afew minutes and thought the polarbear needed more contrast , then i said screw that and decided i like that the polar bear looking as if he were attached to the ice block...it shows that when his home dissipears so will he. love it 5$

A+ for your art. F- for your geo-politics. Less than 30 years ago, all the press whined about was global cooling. The poles are not going to completely melt. There is a natural waxing and waning that rises and falls over thousands of years. Back off and get the wider picture. My Score: Zero.

EricShawn: Thanks for the artscore.
Honestly, my knowledge concerning this whole global warming discussion is lacking in every department - and so I don't have the basis to participate in it. And quite frankly, I don't really feel like I am either.

With that being said, alot of us do sense that something is off, natural or manmade. Abnormal temperatures in parts of the world are a fact, especially here in norway. In addition there has been large chunks of ice breaking off the northern ice cap. Both larger and more frequent than normal.

In my opinion, it's better to be too dramatic about it, than to ignore it all togheter.

polar bears can't swim forever. it isn't stupid. you're just missing the point.

i like it. i think the bear could be outlined a little more near so he doesn't blend into the iceburg, and i agree, maybe just use the one, but i do like it.

nice design . . . . as for global warming, weather follows cycles, ices ages are followed by periods of warming then back to another ice age. The earth has been warming ever since the end of the last ice age long before SUV's. Besides, the CO2 coming out my tailpipe is chemically the same as the stuff I breathe out and plants breathe in. If humans cause global warming then what happened to all the ice from the ice age?!
