NOT ORIGINAL AT ALL!!!!!! the art is nice and all but like eveyroen has said.... not only is it in calvin and hobbes but another sub on threadless and therefore cannot give this a good score and hopefully others will feel the same way

Thanks for the comments everyone. I agree it reminds to Calvin and Hobbes snowmen, but I guess that he hasnīt got the exclusivity of drawing snowmen. If thereīs another sub similar to this, I havenīt seen it and Iīd love to: please tell me where.

herky on Jan 07 '07 Funny character & illustration. I also agree that it's NOT a direct copy of the other submission, the styles and layout are totally different from each other. There is such a thing as artistic license and interpretation of an idea or concept-it exists in film, literature, music and believe it or not, even T-Shirt designs. It's the execution that sets it apart or speaks for itself.

Thanks for your opininon, herky. I totally agree with that, but the only thing is that you copy something that you have seen before, and itīs not this case. Itīs just two people having the same idea almost at the same time (even I know I canīt prove it!).

Fragoso put the idea into a style that works wonderfully for a tshirt, and I'm sure most people would rather have a shirt that looked like this rather than one with this style of design. After all, even Shakespeare's plays weren't completely original, but it was how he worded them that turned them into masterpeices.

The other design with multiple snowmen totally sucked and I think this is simple but funny and worthy of printing.
I'm sure this idea has been done lots of different ways and in many forms of media but I have yet to see it on a t-shirt so I give this a $5 and hope it gets printed. |

Very good idea, but it's almost exactly like my January cartoon from my New Yorker magazine calendar. It's just missing another snowman screaming, "Carl! Don't do it!" But I still adore it and will give it a $5 because I really want to see it printed and I would love to wear it especially BECAUSE I'm in Texas (sorry, ash-leenightmare). We could always use more snow here.
