I really like it but it seems a little off balanced... i'm not sure how to solve that, maybe by moving it to the bottom left corner or by bringing more focus to the discs??

Yes ! The tape's expression is great -- I wish the discs looked more like CDs ( more color ) instead of vinyl records ( black ).

I would like it either as is or with Cds. If you want to balance it up I think the horizon line would help, or maybe move the second spacecraft to the other side of the first?

I can do some clear vectorlines -- look at my other subs. I just thought scribbly lines fits better with this quirky image. Hate me for it.
