erm sakerr actually it isn't copyrighted. you can go ahead an compare aku and mine and you'll notice many differences.
hence i did say samurai jack was the inspiration for the spirit. thanks for everyone's constructive commments. |

its not a copyrighted character because i drew it differently.
threadless would not accept something if it was copyrighted. can't you people get that through your head? how do you think the "this is not a pipe" shirt was printed. |

That's more than derived. That IS Aku, and if he's using a Geisha puppet, then maybe don't attach it to his.............
Genndy Tartakovsky and the character designers who draw the Samurai Jack cartoon icons are artists just like ourselves. They filled sketchbook after sketchbook to get to a style that could attract such a following. If you were them, would you be happy that some guy ripped off about 6 years of work to make a quick $1500.00? Minimum copyright infringement is ($50,000.00) |

You may have drawn him slightly differently, but I think OnDrawnWings is trying to point out the fact that it is basically Aku which is a charater you didn't come up with. Why not just use original characters to portray your original concept? If people can't get past the similarities between yours and Aku, it just won't be printed. :)
