the artwork is really great, but take off all the text, its terrible. theres no place called the perfect crime or the landlords daughter, its just stupid.

i'm not gonna lie about this....i like it alot. i'm not terribly familiar with the band (but i do like them)...but the design is classic. schweet.

i like it. i'd buy just because i'm not a super-fan of the official Decemberists merch and i could still let random people i don' know be familiar with my afinity for a band $5

I would make the shirt the same color as the ocean, if that's possible. The image just feels a little unbalanced on that color; I like the image on the left better than the one on the shirt simply because of the color behind it. Good execution, though. 4.

Not everyone who wants a shirt designed from this contest will be a Decemberist's fan. It's *too* Decemberist-y, like a band tee.

yeah I agree, I lost sight of the whole "make a stand-alone design" objective during this contest. oh well

I agree, it seems too static and stiff. Maybe if you took the map out of the border, enlarged it, and moved it to the corner of the shirt or something, you might have room to add more movement. I like the concept, though, it really captures the feel of their new album.

I'm not huge on the Decemberists, but I'm huge on this shirt. If the design was bigger on the shirt, I'd consider driving the band into my skull until I liked them because this shirt is wicked.
