love the characters and everything about this but am lost with the PAn as well. Shouldn't it be "ka-blam" or "pow" or "ka-pow" or "bang"?

Do the guns in France really make a "pan" sound? That's weird.

How about POP! Does that translate from french? Cool shirt, even with the PAN. I'm sure we'd get some funny looks in america on the streets

having each bubble use a different word for "BOOM!" would be cool as well. kapow, bam, bang, pow, kablammo, etc.

helo on Dec 29 '06
Some english sound effects to help you out ----- pop, crack = little explosion ( small fireworks, wood burning ) /// Pow, Kapow, Bam, Blam, Ka-Blam, Bang = explosion ( fireworks, gunshots )/// BOOM, KABOOM = huge explosion ( stadium fireworks, bombs )

I love this! If I had my way, they'd print it this monday–"Pans" and all! In fact, I think the "Pans" are part of its strong appeal. It reminds me of reading Lucky Luke in grade school.

unhydrate--> le pain= bread ^_^

Guy on the left needs a mustache! Pan pan! You might also make the design slightly smaller so that they aren't shooting at such closer range, plus I like the thought of them shooting across the t-shirt. Cool idea. Pan!

hforhello on Dec 30 '06
I like the idea of using a bunch of different words. You could use pow, bang, boom, pop, and even pan! The design is very good!

Maybe it's just cuz I'm from Montreal, but I got
right away that they said pan cuz the dude who
did it was french. Anyway, what difference does it
make? It's a cool shirt. Good job dude.

for the sake of integrity, I like PAN, but to be honest, I wouldn't wear it unless it said BANG. If it said BANG, I'd totally wear it though.

Erm, to whoever said Pan=bread, they are mistaken.
English people seem to chronically mispronounce the word "pain" (said like pin) PAN and then assimilate it as "pan".
Bon design, j'aurais mis 4$ mais par solidarité... 5$ :p

i don't understand how we are mistaken. anywhere you look will say bread in spanish is "pan". i also don't see what your meaning has to do with because i don't know why you through pain in there.

great drawing; not to be americo-centric, but 'bang' or 'pow' is better than 'pan' for a sound effect.

LOL @ "La Bang". I agree with Bang, Pow, Boom, Pan, Pop.... I like the variety. Dude on the left is way too clean-shaven to be a "real" cowboy and needs at *least* a mustache, if not some chewing tobacco as well. Ok, maybe leave out the tobacco. haha

I prefer "Krakatoa!!", but "pan" has its cute quirks and eccentricities, enough so that it adds to this tee's..wearability, if thats the right word.

xrio00 on Jan 04 '07
Love the simplicity and quirkiness of it (especially with "pan"). Don't we all love how as kids we make our on onomatopoeia for gun sounds? My personal fave is "pew" for gunshots haha. Id buy.

Props to the three different people who have used the word "onomatopoeia" regarding this particular submission.... I had nearly forgotten that word existed. It's such a cool word too.
