it's wonderful, BUT-- the decemberists logo isn't showing up in the corner of the threadless page above your name. are you sure you submitted it to the contest?

nice design, though it would be better as a drawing or painting or etchasketch...etchasketch... now that would be impressive.

I wish I knew something about the Decembrists, but this design is fantastic representation of the Tempest, at any rate. $5

Kiki, I'm not even sure, but many many hours over 3-4 days sounds about right! Thanks for the comments everyone!

Pretty close to exactly what I envisioned for this contest. I'm not into the decemberists, but I give this a 5 because it fits well.

Probably good for everyone who has studied literature at uni. Unfortunately, that doesn't include me.

Thanks Terry, it's been like a whole year since anyone commented on this one, ha! You should sub your "gentlesnowman", I think that'll do really well!

Based on the idea that the Decemberist song "The Island" is a retelling of "The Tempest". This design is depicting a scene where the spirit Ariel
stirs up a storm to strand the sailors onto the Island. Miranda watches in sadness while the man-beast Caliban (Sycorax's child) waits to abduct
her. I didn't depict Prospero, Miranda's father, who should probably be in this, since I thought Caliban was more interesting to show. Oh, and there's a crane in there, just because it's such a theme in the album.
Please Comment and Vote ($5 if you like it)!
