It's actually less like hanging and more like floating. It's my visual representation of the feeling you get when listening to an amazing band. If you're wondering, I was listening to Radiohead when this idea was concieved.

after reading your explanation, i love it.. but it still looks really morbid. but i guess it makes sense in a give yourself to the music sorta way.
hehe, your description made me think of an astronaut where the discman/ipod is the spaceship and you're floating in space by the cord.. |

the shirt design is somewhat morbid but i like it that way almost like an ultimate sacrifice to great music but the blue dot has to go

It looks like he's hanging himself. Maybe the idea would work if the cord was floating as if he was in a zero-gravity environment.

I agree with most of the other comments. Make him look less dead and more floating on the music and you've got something closer to a winner.

Ahhh...who cares what everyone else says....this is a bomb ass drawing....hahaha!!! But yah, the dot is kind of pointless...what happened to the other design you had on there before...the one that looked like ears?

I like the "free floating" ideas above. Those change made & I would consider the design. As is, I'm not sure that most people are going to interpret it the way you intended, as evidenced by many comments above. Also, no blue dot.

Yeah: lose the dot, make it more float'y so it doesn't look like he's hanging himself, give him a nice sublime little smile. Then you're golden! I feel like it could make for a good hoodie, too.

yeah i got that it was the giving yourself to music enjoyment thing but should give him a little more style or tude because it is a little vauge

I like the idea, actually,of him being hung by the music, but I don't know if I'd wear it. Yeah, ditch the dot.

I didn't say that he should be floating completely... just more float'y. Perhaps if the wire wasn't taut? You could make it loopy, and keep the end where he is a little more straight as if he's transfixed by the music. And, like I said before (and others), definitely give him a nice little smile!

keep it like it is. if you lose the blue dot it'll look like you don't know how to draw feet.
and it's a rad drawing. morbid or not. but the robot one is gorgeous. |
