I really like the design, but I think it would work better if the wings looked more waxy, or were melting a bit, that would really set the Icarus theme off.

I agree with Chelly comment. This is just a reworking of another persons artwork, despite having used yourself as the model. Wonderful art just needs to be more...original?

it isnt about greek god stuff, it has Christian heritage. If the wings were waxy, they wouldnt look like wings and its too bad that some people think it is a remake. Its nice. (Whats the inspiration?)

Gorgeous. It took me a little while to realise they were wings when i didnt look at the title, so maybe it wldnt hurt to make the connection of the wings just a tad more obvious (but still artistically so)? Anyhow, still gorgeous artwork.

Gudanawiri, yes it is a Greek myth - story of Icarus. And for you people saying they need to be wazy, you need to review your mythology. He used real feathers and held them together with wax (and thread). When he flew too high, the bonds holding the feathers melted. So maybe add a few wax dribbles, but don't overdo it, the wings were mainly feathers.

good design, but could use a more powerful sun, since it is the heat from the sun that melts the wax. otherwise, could be easily confused with the fall of Lucifer.

have a little bit of wax dripping on the wings (probably especially around the part that would've been attached to him?) and maybe a few pieces of thread undone too so then its understood that the wax and string that held it together came undone

Wow this is pretty. I'd 5 this one with 1 suggestion: Icarus doesn't look like he's plummeting 5000 feet into the ocean. He looks like he's laying down from a nap. This sounds like a lot of work but if you could redo the body to make it look like its actually falling then I think you've got a winner.

It's beautiful but I think I like if the wings looked more like they were melting rather than falling off. I like the fallen angel look, but more melting effect, maybe have the wings still slightly connected?
