the message... i get it totally without the hippo wearing the whole "zoo" thing... there's a carnival in a city-like environment... ergo, im guessing he's not in his home environment.... blah blah ya.... get rid of the lanyard nameplate, and it's an instant buy...

instead of the nametag, maybe you could just put a tag on his ear to show he's a captive animal.

I LOVE the amusement park background... but seeing as it's a background, you could make it a bit faint, so it doesn't steal away from the actual image.
