Have Gandalf looking out at us ( viewers of the shirt ). I would love to see the quote on the shirt in bold letters in a LOTR font ( there's ~ 30 fonts at the link ).

Made me think of Hagrid, the guy from Harry Potter (I think that's his name?). The colors of the guy look too washed out on that color shirt.

I think the text "You shall not pass" would make it funnier/more easily understood. I'd buy it with text. I'd buy it for my friends, too.

FRICKINAWESOME on Dec 26 '06 Screw the staff (not literally of course...unless that's your thing)...it would be cool to have the staff in his other hand (cause i too was one of the superduper nerds who thought you were referencing Monty Python), but the text in LOTR text NEEDS to be on this to really get the point across in any feasible scenario. I like mystery, but i also like cohesive and witty ass designs, which with these tweaks, this would fill that gap and be a major 5$ for sure! Right now, you got a big ol 3. But please re-submit.

I like it not having the title on it, but I like things more understated. How about the "F" looking more like an Elvish letter (you know...that LotR-ish font) and Gandalf looking a little more like Gandalf...? Staff or hat or something. Just an idea. I love the idea. I giggled and pushed my glasses further up the bridge of my nose in true nerd fashion.

Hilarious concept, but it's not obvious it's Gandalf. It's a great picture of an old man, but it just doesn't look like the old wizard we all know and love.
You could work on the face a little more, add text or add a staff - whatever you think works best. |

Haha, I love it. I don't think the reference to LotR is even that important. I laughed even before I realized that. And yes- it would be funnier if is was the Monty Python guy.
