haha I remember when I was smaller I alway used to play this game when I was by myself. Jumping from tables to chairs never touching the ground afraid i would get burned by the lava. $5 plus I would def buy one.

This is GREAT!!! I would like to see some spillage around the top of the volcano; it looks a little too "clean". This, however, is awesome

The places where the lava meets the legs and TV look REALLY bad. You either don't know how to draw it, or just got lazy.

secretly robots on Dec 19 '06 I figured I could either spend my entire life drawing TVs or I could use my talents for a nobler cause so I used the same TV in two different designs. If it makes you feel better, though, I'll turn myself in for copyright infringing myself.

The lava game cost me a trip to the ER with a broken finger when I was thirteen. I was trying to ride the lava staircase on a foam mattress. I MUST HAVE THIS SHIRT!

Hoo boy. GET SOME FRESH AIR IS HIS DESIGN, FOLKS!! However I think you should have drawn the TV just so that it would fit better with the rest of the design. It would also be better if the kid (and maybe more than one kid) was stepping from furniture item to furniture item. I like the concept a lot though.

Damn people - quick to jump on that little wagon before checking it all out (where you would find that the tv is from his design). Really love the idea, and agree with whoever said that there should be some spillage coming up from the volcano. Maybe a little explosion? Flying lava? The kids attitude is great, and I feel like the person dying is a grown-up who didn't feel like playing... Good job!

hahah one time the dog had bad flees and they would like be on the ground in the carpet and it was funny cause he would jump from couch to couch trying not to touch the floor and my freind greg said he was playing the floor is lava
we were on vaction thats why the flees got so bad we extermanited the next day 5$$ |

OH MY GOSH.
I played this game all the time when I was a kid. My house actually had orange carpet so it made the game that much better. |

I really like it, i'd like to see different colours though. I played that in my english class. Except ours was like..acidic orange juice and lava and we had to use these blocks of wood to make a bridge across the room. That was fun. 5 dollars.

I grew up in a house with red shag carpet so I can relate to this. Great concept that just needs some more thought and attention to details. We would throw couch cushions on the floor as little islands to jump/walk on. Some of the older kids would piggyback a young kid while going from one side to the other. We would throw pillows at each other while trying to get around. Sometimes we would work as a team to see if we could get the cat across with everyone having to be a part of it. ---- This design has only one kid and he's bored. Where's the drama ? The floor is made of lava !

Great. I used to play this all the time on the playground. Except our game was a bit more like tag... we had a lava monster who tried to eat everyone. I would always win because I would climb on top of the monkey bars where nobody could get me...

I feel like the kid should be standing up. I mean, if the floor's made of lava (game or otherwise), I would symbolically try to be as far as away from the lava as possible, IMO.

I loved this game - and the don't step on the (insert color of tile that there is less or here, or if you are advanced then color of tile that there is more of) and all the others are in hot lava, like in the mall or the grocery store. That was a good one too. I still play those with my kids.

bit of a toothpaste for dinner uh, lift, but that is going to happen with a pervasive cultural object like the floor being made of lava. i would have liked more panic and excitement in the boy's reaction to something as serious as spontaneous floor-to-lava conversion, but i love the idea and i would probably by this one.

bortwein on Dec 21 '06 Too bad you swiped the TV from Get Some Fresh Air. Always spend the extra time to make your own stuff. The main reason the TV sticks out so badly as stolen is that the rest of the illustration has such a different look to it. The volcano, legs and chair also need some work since they feel very flat compared to everything else.

this is personally hystrical to me. while getting ready for my first date w/my boyfriend years ago, i accidentally tipped over one of roommates; lava lamp while getting ready. my other roommate was screaming, "don't step in the lava! don't step in the lava!" brings back memories.....
