The message here isn't obvious, although its got to do with violence and warfare clearly. The cycle is a little interesting, but there is no obvious connection to the recycling symbol. Using patriotic colors too is interesting, but confuses the point even further.

You're right about it being unclear. Sorry, but I wouldn't wear something I don't understand myself. I was hoping for a more earth loving type or some conservation msg but it turns out to be something about something a bit more 'bloody'. Maybe not my thing but might be someone else's :)

thanks, i appreciate the comments, i was worried that it would be unclear and also worried that it being red, white and blue would make people think that this was supposed to be about the United States, but ohcursive had it right, it's just saying 'violence makes violence' while playing on the recycle arrows that we're all pretty well acquainted with. as far as the r/w/b goes, i just enjoy primary colors. i hear "more clarity" all the way. again, thanks for the comments.

wow, i understood it perfectly right away. stupids! i appreciate it. i think the gun and sword should be switched so that it's sword- gun- bomb- sword. i don't know if you care, but it reminds me of something i read recently by... uh... i think einstein, where he said something like "i don't know what world war three will be fought with, but wwIV will be fought with sticks and stones", commenting on nuclear war and ... i just wrote a paper on this. i'll come back and talk more at not 3 am.

This is really creative. I think I wouldn't have understood your point, however, without reading the title - at least not right away. It's really interesting, though I think people might get wrapped up in the recycle symbol and think you are making a statement about recycling being... violent?? Which makes no sense. But that won't stop people from thinking it. Anyway, 4 for creativity!

Really neato concept, and like everyone already said, sword-gun-bomb. I think the bomb needs to be a bit more "bomblike" in its appearance- the textures for the sword and gun are excellent, but i thought the bomb was a bullet at first glance (well many glances later actually). Maybe more of a warhead tipped feel and defintely a more missle-like bottom to the drawing should clear this up and make a really good addition to Threadless. A really steller commentary and excellent use of the Recycle signal. Please re-submit and it should be a winner here. I'm still 4'ing and $'ing based on the awesomeness that you will make this become.

I like the concept. I'd have to say though, as much as I hate text, I think it might be necessary here, something simple like the title either below it or on the back.

I think you've hit the nail perfectly on the head. I also was surprised there are people who just don't get it... but then, would George "get it"?
I like the neutral colours better than the yellow and the sword gun bomb order. The grey (or blue, watev), white and red work fine... and all those patriots are all so touchy.

but...recycling is a good thing.

I think it is a message of peace, like violence only brings more violence. So what if it is unclear, I dont think it is at all, it lets people interpret it. Patriotic colors are good, since nationalism brought on WWI and all that jazz. The color scheme is a little awkward, it doesn't look good on yellow to me. I'm glad other people have longer comments.
