what's up with all the filigree on Threadless right now? It feels really inappropriate with the cowboy for me.

Filigree? The ornamental stuff in the background is similar to what I saw on a cowboy belt buckle, so I put it there.

I REALLY want to like it. But your figure is clunky and looks very inhuman/unnatural, I guess... Espescially in the area of his gun hand, and his legs around the horse, as well as his other arm reaching for the horse. Just doesn't seem like it's natural feeling... Great, now I'm an art snob. Sorry... I WANT to like it, I really do...

The curlicues kind of make it look like he's on a circus horse. Look at the small picture. The curls are right above the cowboy's and the horse's heads, like those big feathery plumes.

I'm totally getting that you saw the design on a belt buckle. Maybe if you just rotated it a little?

Why the hell is everyone making Urban Outfitters shirts. I'm not a fan of this shirt.

I like it a lot, but as a pro rider I feel obligated to tell you that it looks like the rider is falling off the horse... he is sitting WAAAY too far back. Also, you should do some more research into what horse tack looks like- the "saddle" needs more detail and has nothing holding it on (a girth or cinch). Also, both the horse's reins shouldn't be on one side of it's neck like that, but it isn't a big deal.

Well the story behind the shirt, my "vision" if you will- went a little something like this:

The cowboy was riding the horse, having a good old time. One of the reins was chafing the poor horses's neck, so he brought it over to the other side. The horse was startled, he slid back on the saddle, knocking off the girth or cinch. The quick motion snapped the cowboys arm and it broke, f'ed up his torso right good, and caused his gun to go off.

See it all fits together, and this was my plan with the design all along. I just forgot to mention it when it twas first posted, sorry.

his legs look like it was a plastic doll stuck on the horse. you know, the ones who cant bend their legs. otherwise i like it

maybe make it a circus horse, with plumes, but placed where it would be ona circus horse, not out of random places/

great idea but the filigree does not go with the cowboy

the colors are very lovely, and it feels nice and balanced, but the drawing is a bit awkward. I'd prolly still wear it though.

the illustration is awesome but i don't like the subject. never been into westerns and such.

I think that this shirt is just wonderful. The ENGRAVING design makes total sence and the placement is great too.
