i think the resemblence is intentional because they didn't have eyeglasses in jesus's lifetime

For artgeek17, my goal is not to make this shirt funny, but to be able to maximize the usage of the newly-implemented 5 color rule by making a design that needs more colors and not to add the 5th color just because I wanted to. But to all those who see this design as good clean fun, thank you so much! The tie-dye effect was done manually and it made my hand sore, and seeing that you appreciate it makes it well worth it. Thanks and don't forget to 5 and Buy!

jpiatt on Dec 12 '06 I LOVE it. But when it prints (you'll notice I don't say IF) please change the hand giving the peace sign so it looks like it's actually holding it. Right now it doesn't look right. It's really bugging me cause the design is so perfect other than that. $5

you know, it's a really clever title. But if you're just wearing the shirt around, it's not like people will think of it. They'll be wondering about the angel-like hippie selling the rug. At least, it would make me uncomfortable.
I think that goes for most designs, although they have a catchy title, it's not like the title is ON the shirt, so you gotta think of it as a picture. Maybe not even looking at the titles at all is the best policy. |

i like this, but not sure about the color back ground. i agree with above comment...it looks like he's not really holding cloth in one hand, so play with that if you can. and he does kinda look like lennon :)

kaloyster on Dec 13 '06 The Lennon resemblance is intentional coz I want the dude looking like a hippie. I don't want it to be looking excatly like Christ because the pun will be lost. So basically, it's just some hippie guy who did a tie-dye design, that's why "he dyed", not "Jesus dyed". With that, people will see it at first glance as Jesus because of his clothing, the halo and the pose but as they look coser, they will figure out that he's just an average hippie who tie-dyed a cloth for us to see. The peace-giving hand can be fixed, it's actually the cloth in his hand that has the flaw. I hope you score this design appropriately and thank you so much in advance for any score you will give this!

Jesus was the first hippi, I like his "peace" fingers, it reminds me of religoius iconographry. (sp?)

tiphaine on Dec 14 '06 i'm gonna second speedy -- this is my favorite sub of yours for sure. and i'm gonna second jeremy, i'd like to see the cloth more securely held in dude's hands. however, even though i don't like the AA light blue color, i think it is the PERFECT background color for this illustration. please don't change it. my only other comment is that the halo looks like it might be a smidgen too high. overall, nice work. this is a 5.
