Like it alot, great drawing. The Blood : I actually think you need either alot more or alot less .. as it is now, it's too much of a frame. I think it would work better if it was more irregular, splashing across the shirt. And I agree, "I want YOUR brains" would be better. But what do I know? :-) 5

hahah this is great. the only suggestion i'd have is maybe age up the clothes a bit to make it more zombie like. the blood is good as it is i think. and either "I Want Brains" or "...Your Brains" works for me. great work. $5

The typography needs work but the illustration is cool. Zombie Sam. Could actually be interepted very socio-politically.

It's a great illustration, very well done, zombies are the bees-knees, BUT I'm so very tired of people spoofing that old propaganda poster, so none for me thanks.

I agree with alot of the comments. the illustration is great, with minor execution tweaks, it could be a perfect shirt. Someone suggested "I want YOUR brains" which would be a more clever joke. Also, think about sizing the image down, or maybe reducing the type - rearrange teh type to not be as much a focal point as the graphic. Although an "in-your-face" I Want Brains would be more representative of the riginal poster, there is something to be said about subtlety and "implying" I want your brains rather than overstating it. As for the "overdoing uncle Sam" comments, its a matter of preference - some people may like that old image - and think this shirt is a really great way to show up to your family's July 4th BBQ. Nice work. 3 and 3/4 stars.

Not sure what you want the concept to mean...I get that it's a scarecrow....but I'm having a difficult time with the symbolism...great illustration though. Keep up the good work!

Really hope this design gets made, I want a shirt like that. I do agree though that there's a bit too much splatter and that putting "your" in there might be an option, still $5.

I could definatly see this being printed by other clothing companies where the designers are lack creativity, but at Threadless trite material deosnt do so well (or at least didnt use to as much)

good amount of blood, and I'm hesitant to wear bloody shirts... only more blood splatter if the shirt was only in a close but different-enough red.
"I want your brains" is more in line with the whole Uncle Sam thing, but Uncle Sam's dead and partially brain-dead so who knows what will come out of his mouth now. maybe even "want / brains". could have his hand grabbing or semi-grabbing half-poiting (different gesture, same place) instead of pointing and it might look cool, but I'm giving you a 5 anyway. |
